Discworld Noir (PC CD) comes on 5 CD's and is an epic adventure. You play as the character Lewton, a private investigator, who gets heavily involved in a deadly plot. Discworld Noir contains many characters and is set in Ankh-Morpork on a typical rainy day. It is a lot gloomier than the previous two outings and creates a similar atmosphere to the Noir films from which is gets its name.

You start the game seeing Lewton, the main character apparently stabbed to death in a very atmospheric intro sequence. Then you flashback to the previous night where you meet the mysterious Carlotta. From then on the storyline twists and turns on a roller coaster ride of an adventure that has rejuvenated a dying genre.

A few familiar faces, to name two, Captain Vimes and Nobby, both of the City Watch, appear. Unfortunately this time you don't control or come into any major contact with the characters from the book. This, however, gives the storyline freedom to do what it wishes without having to stick to the plot of the books. This is a bad point for Discworld fans while good for non-followers of Terry Pratchett.

Unlike the other two, the humour isn't quite as predominant although it still remains in the typical Pratchett style. However, it won't have you rolling around on the floor in laughter, perhaps just smiling to yourself or pleading with Lewton to stop being sooo sarcastic!

Discworld Noir is out in the shops now.

Very enjoyable, especially if you like detective stories.

Very logical also, you can play it through by using your common sense. But donīt think itīs too easy...

Only bad thing was when it ended.

i dont finish yet, so i can say its diffucult one, cause need patient to fonish the game.. n good IQ [Hmm, as far as I can say it is partly correct, it is hard, but surely 3/10 is a bit harsh! It's a superb game, tailored for non-Discworld fans as well! How can it lose? It rescued a dying game genre for me! - Mark]

I think EKO is a w*nker. Just because he is so thick he can't even download a walkthru, does'nt mean the game is cr*p. It means he is cr*p. Utter cr*p
