This was the first in the Watch series, and for me, also the most funniest. The employment of things _not_ described (eg. Carrot's first try with the Protective) and the use of figgins, were gigglicious. The fight between the two dragons were as good.

I think this could be the book where the Watch of Ankh-Morpork ceases to be in the Fantasy genre, and more in a Crime genre - apart from the fact that the setting is in Discworld.

So for that alone, ie. Carrot/Vimes/the Watch cast no longer being kept in a Fantasy story, this book is worth reading.

Very funny. One of the best. It has a good plot and is very well written. Colon's threat, "You're Geography!" is very well used.
